agitation gives physicality to the data that is constantly impacting us through social media. The unrelenting stream of posts about ‘emergencies’ are translated into agitation of a body of water. The agitation deforms and reforms images of a self, embodying the ways technology moulds our realities. As we exist in a constant state of emergency, the work will never still nor silence. The physical impact serves to prove that technology is never neutral.
